At House of Krauss, we believe in the power of design to drive positive social change. We find never-ending inspiration in the words of Mahatma Gandhi: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”
It is humbling to work on an assignment that you know will have a huge social impact, especially in the lives of children. We are proud of our work for Cuisine for a Cause, which benefits the House of Mercy Orphanage in Piedras Negras, Mexico. This is our 6th year designing and producing materials for this worthwhile cause.
House of Mercy Orphanage is located in Piedras Negras, a border town across from Eagle Pass, TX. Like many towns in that area, it has been affected by ongoing drug-related threats of violence. As a result, the orphanage has seen a dramatic change in their operations, particularly because support from the United States has dropped considerably. The funds raised from this event have been a direct contributor to keeping the children in a safe and loving environment.
We are proud to report that over $40,000 was raised at our Cuisine for a Cause 2014
benefit this year.
